Choosing the right time of year is key to a successful photo shoot in Paris. Beyond the beauty of the scenery and the light, it’s essential to consider the weather conditions to fully enjoy the experience.
The months from April through early September generally offer the most comfortable conditions, with pleasant temperatures and longer days. Starting in the second half of September, mornings gradually become cooler, especially during sunrise sessions—a prime time to capture the most beautiful light and avoid the tourist crowds.
Even though temperatures often remain mild during the day, posing for several hours in a wedding dress can become less comfortable as the weather cools, especially in lightweight or sleeveless outfits. We therefore recommend bringing a coat, a shawl, or warm clothing to wear between photo shoots.
To combine comfort, exceptional light, and magnificent backdrops, we particularly recommend the periods from May through June and from late August through mid-September, which generally offer the best conditions for a pre-wedding photo shoot in Paris.

To enjoy Paris’s most beautiful locations under the best conditions, we recommend starting your session very early in the morning.
At daybreak, start your photo shoot at the Esplanade du Trocadéro to enjoy an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower and avoid the crowds. Another option is to start at sunrise on the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, renowned for its elegant architecture and exceptional early-morning light.
Next, head to the courtyard of the Louvre Museum before the museum opens. The area is much quieter then, and it’s easier to take photos in front of the pyramid without crowds of visitors. Additionally, certain areas may be harder to access or subject to restrictions during opening hours.
The session can then continue at the Buren Columns, also known as Les Deux Plateaux. By arriving early, you’ll be able to fully enjoy this iconic space as well as the gardens of the Palais-Royal before the first groups of tourists arrive.
